Walking video... what do you guys think?

Okay, so she's not as lame as I thought she was. And I have a feeling a good trim will help her out. What do y'all think? And WOW about my little pity party last night haha!

She's going to get better :)

  1. She doesn't look too bad. I think your right .A trim should help.

  2. Yeah, that's what I'm hoping. We've been using my farrier for 7 or so years. I've seen him do wonders with lame horses and rescue horses with slipper feet, etc. I completely trust his opinion. But he agrees that she may need to have a fellow trimmer trim her in between big trims. But Joe has done such a good job with her. I think her lack of being out on rocky ground or being worked has let them go back to their old ways haha!

  3. Looks like a flat landing in front and a toe first landing behind to me. Long hind toes and not picking up behind properly so they are landing toe first then sliding forward instead of taking the impact heel first.

BUT that is all I can pick on. As long as your trimmers trim for heel first landings and you might need to getsomee body work done on her to release anything in the back and hind quarter.

  4. Yeah, that's another thing the vet and I talked about it getting a chiro or massage person out to help fix the stiffness caused by compensation.

    Thanks again guys :)

  5. I see a heel first landing with the fronts. Wait for the tiny tiny flip at the very last second, it's there.
I think the amount of fetlock sinking is normal. You would know if it got to be excessive. It's not pretty.

  6. Although, she does land more heel first with the LF instead of the RF. She lands slightly flatter with the RF. But I digress, we're talking about the hind end here!
