He may be smarter not to complain, because it means he gets all his muscles rubbed before and after rides daily in order to see how he's feeling. I'd rather he let me know when something hurts rather than have to find out by my inspection of him later, though! (I've been told this is just the TB mind, and that he doesn't realize it hurts at the time.
